Nandi Awards for Tollywood Stars
The Nandi Awards is one of the prestigious awards in Andhra Pradesh. The state government confers Nandi award annually to Telugu film industry artists. The Nandi Award is being named after the big granite bull at Lepakshi — a cultural and historical symbol of Andhra Pradesh and ‘Nandi’ means the ‘bull’. There are four categories in Nandi Awards - Gold, Silver, Bronze, and Copper.

Desh Drohi – Released all over India barring Maharashtra
The film ‘Desh Drohi’ is released on Friday across the nation but banned in Maharashtra following north Indian issues. The movie was in news because of the reported attack on North Indians in Mumbai and issue of North Indian in Mumbai. As the MNS party has been raising the issue of North Indians in Mumbai, following this some MPs from North India have resigned from their MP seats. The controvesy led the movie talk of the town.The movie was reviewed by MNS activists followed by Mumbai police. Special screening of the film was held for the Mumbai police. The MNS activists have objection over some of the scenes of the film that depicts the character of Raj Thackery. While it was believed that movie ‘Desh Drohi’ would spark more violence in Mumbai over the north Indian issues.

Milind Deora marries film producer Pooja Shetty
Union Petroleum Minister Murli Deora's son and Congress MP from south Mumbai Milind Deora (31) and entrepreneur Pooja Shetty married in a private ceremony at a city five-star hotel in Mumbai on Sunday evening. Pooja Sheety is the daughter of multiplex tycoon Manmohan Shetty. The reception was attended by top politicians and industrialists. Milind met Pooja Shetty three year ago. Both Pooja Sheety and Milind got their higher education in the United States and returned home to pursue personal interests and run family business. Pooja Shetty into film production and heads her father Manmohan Shetty's production company 'Walk Water Media'.
